Sell Your Soles & Too Big For Your Boots
Want £5 off* new shoes? Of course you do! Look out for our Sell Your Soles initiative in all schuh stores, or Too Big For Your Boots in all schuh Kids stores.
Bring your pre-loved shoes to any schuh or schuh Kids store and we’ll repurpose them and give them another life. Remember, they don’t even need to be from schuh. In return, we’ll give you £5 off* a brand new pair of shoes. You can then redeem the voucher in store or online, whatever works for you.
We are unable to accept any shoes that have been damaged, such as soles, buttons and zips intentionally or unintentionally removed, torn and ripped beyond repair, burnt, soaked, mouldy, damp, wet or contaminated and soiled in liquids such as rain water, paint and oils or are presented in a condition where collection and processing represents risks to Health and Safety or could contaminate otherwise acceptable materials.
Terms & Conditions (Paper Vouchers)
Customers handing in a pair of unwanted shoes to any schuh store will receive a £5 voucher for each pair donated. Shoes do not have to be from schuh. Shoes will be inspected by a member of staff to make sure they are in an acceptable condition for donation. Shoes will be repurposed. Once unwanted shoes have been donated in store they cannot be returned. Vouchers can only be redeemed against full price items over £25 and cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Discounts cannot be combined and are not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Gift cards, tote bags and all product codes on this list are excluded from this offer. Voucher valid in UK stores and online at www.schuh.co.uk. Redeemed vouchers cannot be refunded and will be lost if purchased shoes are returned. Shoes being returned as faulty or unsuitable are not eligible for this promotion and our standard returns policy is not affected. schuh ltd reserves the right to amend or end this promotion at any time.
Got Sneakers
We are proud to continue these initiatives with our new footwear recycling partner, Got Sneakers, as part of our on-going commitment to reduce our environmental impact as a business.
Got Sneakers collects all of our donated footwear from every mainland UK schuh store. It’s then delivered to their Wolverhampton depot, where it goes through an intensive sorting and cleaning process. Selected casual and sports styles are then sold online in the UK, EU and US through their Sneaker Cycle ebay and Shopify stores, with different channels for fashion footwear.
Got Sneakers try to ensure 90% of all donated footwear is re-sold, with only 10% of it likely to be unusable.
We have another recycling partner, All-Tex, working on a similar programme of collection and reprocessing for the donated footwear from all our Irish stores.
For every tonne of footwear collected from stores, we use all of the generated revenue to support our environmental partner of choice, the RSPB.
RSPB
The RSPB is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature. They bring people together who love and want to discover more about birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the natural world.
The RSPB’s purpose is to advance the conservation of birds, other wildlife, and the natural world, by protecting and restoring habitats and landscapes, saving species and connecting people to nature, for public benefit. They recognise that the health and resilience of individuals, society and the economy is dependent on the health and sustainability of the planet’s ecosystems. They know that birds, other wildlife and the habitats on which we all depend are interconnected.
schuh is proud to stand alongside the RSPB in the fight to protect and restore nature. Together, we’ve already supported vital baseline surveys at a new reserve, created a flourishing wildflower meadow at RSPB Loch Lomond, and pulled on our own boots to help get more spades in the ground to drive conservation work in the area.
This year we’ll be supporting urban nature initiatives in Dundee, working closely with marginalised communities to help create a network of wildlife habitats while also unlocking the wellbeing benefits that come from connecting with nature.
