Want £5 off* new shoes? Of course you do!
Our Sell Your Soles scheme is back (in an even safer way)! Bring down your old, worn shoes and we’ll give you £5 off your brand new pair. All stores have been provided with trays that we ask that you place your worn shoes onto to reduce the risk for staff due to COVID-19. These will then be taken in the tray and tipped into the relevant carton within our stockroom without our shoe-selling stars touching them. Let’s stay safe, sustainable and keep it schuh.
You can redeem the voucher right here online or in-store, whatever works for you. Already got a voucher to spend? Check out our latest men’s, women’s and kids’ footwear.
*T&Cs apply: Customers handing in a pair of unwanted shoes to any schuh store will receive a £5 voucher for each pair donated. Shoes do not have to be from schuh. Shoes will be recycled. Once unwanted shoes have been donated in store they cannot be returned. Vouchers can only be redeemed against full price items over £25 and cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Voucher valid in UK stores and online. Redeemed vouchers cannot be refunded and will be lost if purchased shoes are returned. Shoes being returned as faulty or unsuitable are not eligible for this promotion and our standard returns policy is not affected. schuh ltd reserves the right to amend or end this promotion at any time.
If it's outgrown kids' shoes you're looking to donate, look out for our Too Big For Your Boots initiative in any schuh kids store
We are proud to introduce these initiatives in partnership with Recyclatex as part of our on-going commitment to operate sustainably.
Launched in the 1990’s the Recyclatex Group, headquartered in Manchester, is a trading organisation formed by a select number of textile reuse and recycling companies who are experts in collection, logistics and identifying value in used clothing and shoes.
Recyclatex will collect all donations weekly, 98% of the donated items are then sold on to third world countries where the goods provide a small business opportunity and a living for impoverished families. Approximately 2% of donated footwear is in a condition not suitable for re-sale and is therefore recycled in various ways in order to avoid any of it going to landfill.
For every tonne collected, the funds raised are used to support schuh’s sustainability partner of choice, the World Land Trust.
Our aim is to essentially create a circular economy, in an effort to make footwear more sustainable.
World Land Trust
Founded in 1989, World Land Trust works with local NGO partners around the world to save and protect critically threatened habitat for wildlife.
Funding through WLT programmes enables WLT partners to create protected reserves and biological corridors for species while saving tropical forest and tackling climate change.
schuh is supporting WLT’s Plant a Tree programme which funds WLT’s local conservation partners to reforest areas that have been lost in the past and reconnect fragmented habitat for wildlife. Current projects are in Brazil, Borneo and Ecuador.
